A temporary speed limit validly set in accordance with the Rule remains in force from installation of the sign until the authorised person removes the sign or 12 months elapse; failure by contractors to remove the sign when a site is unattended does not 'unset' a valid temporary speed limit, therefore the appellant exceeded the posted 50 km/h limit and the conviction stands.
