Weighing conflicting medical evidence the court preferred the opinion that, on the balance of probabilities required for continuing cover under the governing test (1982 Act test remitted), the 1984 accident likely caused an annular injury that contributed to the appellant's chronic discogenic back pain; ACC's 27 April 1999 decision to cease entitlements was therefore set aside.
