Section 120(3) of the Real Estate Agents Act 2008 is a statutory bar to further appeal and therefore the Supreme Court lacks jurisdiction under s 68 of the Senior Courts Act 2016 to hear the applicants' appeal; the application for leave to appeal is dismissed for want of jurisdiction and costs are awarded.

Leave to withdraw the abandonment is declined because the decision to abandon was deliberate and informed and the proposed challenge to the nine‑month uplift is not arguable: the Parole Board had jurisdiction to impose the special release condition and there is no clear or material error of fact or law in the sentence.

The application for leave to appeal is dismissed for want of jurisdiction because s 213(3) of the Criminal Procedure Act 2011 makes final a Court of Appeal decision dismissing leave to appeal, thereby precluding an appeal to the Supreme Court; additionally, the applicant failed to provide the Vodafone records that might justify treating the filing as a direct appeal from the High Court.

The Supreme Court lacks jurisdiction to hear an appeal from the Court of Appeal in respect of a bail appeal under s 42 of the Bail Act because s 43(3) makes the Court of Appeal's decision final and s 68 of the Senior Courts Act does not override an enactment that expressly precludes further appeal; accordingly the application for leave to appeal is dismissed.

The Criminal Disclosure Act only applies to an existing criminal proceeding, including an appeal; there was no live appeal or criminal proceeding before the Court to which the Act could be applied and therefore the Court had no jurisdiction to order non-party disclosure to facilitate a potential Smith application; the application for disclosure is declined.

The High Court lacked jurisdiction to determine the recall application after the Court of Appeal had concluded the leave application; the proper forum for seeking recall or reopening in these circumstances is the Court of Appeal and the High Court is functus officio unless the appellate court directs otherwise.

Leave to appeal was declined because the proposed second appeal raised no seriously arguable error of law or fact: the pleaded private-law claims were legally untenable given the statutory scheme which provides other remedies and precludes a private right of action, and the proceedings amounted to an abuse of process and improper attempt to relitigate matters already finally determined; therefore finality and the Waller v Hider test require dismissal of the leave application.

Because section 135 of the Employment Contracts Act 1991 declared Court of Appeal determinations "final and conclusive" and was not amended, section 7(a) of the Supreme Court Act 2003 prevents this Court from hearing the proposed appeal; consequently the application for leave to appeal is dismissed.
