The High Court held the claimant established she rendered services (including forbearance to sue and assistance beyond normal family expectations), the deceased made repeated testamentary promises corroborated by the November 2006 will and witnesses, a sufficient nexus existed between services and promises, and the Judge did not err in exercising discretion on quantum; the award of $150,000 (25% of the net estate) was reasonable and the appeal was dismissed.
