The application is dismissed because s14(2)(b) of the Habeas Corpus Act 2001 prevents the High Court from questioning a bail ruling of a court of competent jurisdiction, and the District Court had jurisdiction under the Summary Proceedings Act 1957 (ss46,47) to remand the applicant including for more than eight days without consent, so the High Court has no jurisdiction to grant habeas corpus relief in respect of that remand.
