- Court
- Court of First Instance
- Case number
- HCPI1184/2016
The court held that the plaintiff's slip-rule application was misconceived because the judge had already considered all income periods and reached a considered factual assessment (HK$15,000) so the alleged arithmetic error was irrelevant; because the judgment did not exceed the total sanctioned payments the defendant was entitled to have the costs order varied and the sanctioned payments released; interest on costs was fixed at 4.5% and costs of the summons were awarded to the defendant with a summary assessment of HK$80,000.
