The court accepted the claimant's and corroborating witness evidence that the respondent persistently sexually harassed the claimant over about a year, causing significant distress and forcing resignation; on that basis the court awarded HK$80,000 for injury to feelings and HK$10,000 exemplary damages, ordered interest at 2% p.a. from the date of the Notice of Claim to judgment and thereafter at judgment rate, and awarded the claimant costs of the assessment proceedings due to special circumstances.
