The Court of Appeal held that LCT had submitted to the jurisdiction of the Hong Kong courts by commencing proceedings in Hong Kong and that contempt/committal proceedings seeking to enforce orders made in those proceedings are incidental to the original action; accordingly service out under Order 11 was not required and the Judge was entitled to order substituted service and dispense with personal service. The appeal was dismissed with costs and a certificate for two counsel was granted.
