Medical evidence established on the balance of probabilities that the appellant's ongoing symptoms are now predominantly and exclusively due to pre-existing degenerative lumbar disease and not substantially caused by the 1991 accident; therefore the reviewer correctly confirmed suspension and the appeal is dismissed.

On the balance of probabilities the appellant failed to prove his current incapacity was caused by a work-related gradual process and not substantially or wholly by the ageing process; medical evidence favoring pre-existing degenerative change that was merely aggravated carried decisive weight; accordingly the Corporation's revocation of deemed cover was lawful and the appeal is dismissed.

Appellant failed to prove on the balance of probabilities that her current symptoms are a result of the original 1993 injury; the weight of medical evidence (notably Mr Otto) established that pre-existing spondylolisthesis and ageing/disease are substantial causes of the present incapacity, so entitlement to weekly compensation ceases.
