On the totality of the evidence — the worker's contemporaneous complaint while on the ladder, statutory declarations, corroborating witness statements, photographs, the GP's notes shortly after the incident and the orthopaedic report — the respondent was justified in accepting the 8 August 1997 event as a work injury and the Review Officer's decision was correct; the appeal is dismissed.
